GHANA JOINED OTHER MEMBERS OF THE UNITED NATIONS TO MARK THE INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR PEOPLE WITH AFRICAN DECENT

 

Ghana joined other members of the United Nations (UN) to mark international day for people with African decent in August 21,2021 held in Costa Rica.

The United Nations through this gathering pursue to promote the extraordinary contributions of the African diaspora around the world and to eliminate all forms of discrimination against people of African descent.

Ghana’s representatives were the deputy minister of tourism,art and culture Hon. Mark Okraku Mantey, Akwamuhene Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III, Hon. Elvis Morris Donkoh MP for Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese consistency and Ghanaian reggae musician Rocky Darwuni.

The event was also attended by the President of Costa Rica, Carlos Andres Alvarado Quesada and his Vice Epsy Campbell Barr.
