High life musician Awotse Kelly is in the news for all the cantekerous reasons.
On December 7th, Ghana goes to the polls to elect a new President. Meanwhile, the battle as usual is between the NPP and NDC Political Parties. The excitement and again, panic is that, both representatives of these two Political Parties have all served a four years mandate each. Nana Akufo – Addo – still on power, representing the NPP and the formal; John D. Mahama also representing the NDC. It’s a high tension amidst lots of doom prophecies.
Prior to the election, lots of peace songs have been composed to reduce the tensions and conscientise Ghanaians on their actions on or before the elections.
Awotse Kelly in a chit – chat with ThisIsGh’s Ohene Kobby, has revealed that not a single of many of the “so called peace songs makes sense.” The iconic musician mentioned that ‘parties political’ are worth listening to than these said peace songs.
The ‘Samantha’ hit maker dared thereafter, disclosing that his project on the pipeline is targeted at addressing issues critically and preaching the vital message a peace song must carry.
