Most often than not, music business has been perceived as that profession which does not really pay especially relating it to the amateurs, the old folks and people with few hit songs.

 

 

The assumption, unless one become a world star with huge following and several timeless songs hence determining the success of the musician.

 

 

Most cases; the lifestyle of such individuals justifies these presumptions. They become wretched and suffers societal rejections and at the end, shifting blames on the industry.

 

 

Danso Abiam was a household name years ago. The “Belly Dancer” and “Farmer” days. These two songs put a spotlight on the iconic musician till date. It’s been many years and the musician has suffered churning out another hit song. The musician’s present state tells that he is down financially and health wise.

 

 

Unlike others who when found in same state would sound bitter and regretful, the musician in an attempt to answer a question concerning what he gained through music by Sammy Flex on SammyFlextv, said;

“I will always applaud music should it be human. I don’t do anything apart from this. I have built six rooms self contained for my mum at Nkawkaw through music. I get a lot of links because of music. Through music, I’ve bought land. I have five children and through music, I take care of them”

 

 

Again, as part of listing his achievements through music, he added that he has toured lots of African countries through music.

 

This new revelation by the musician suggests that the perception held against musician like himself are mere fabrications. On the show, organizer for Ghana Music Awards UK has approved the icon as one of the performer’s for the 2020 edition.
